Owls Craft :: Owl Activity :: Owl Art Project

Owls Craft :: Owl Activity :: Owl Art Project

Owls in the Classroom! A creative way to teach about Owls using this unique 3D Owl Craft. Whether hanging from the ceiling or sitting on the shelf, your students will love creating and putting on their own personal touches on these Cute Owls. This Owl Art Project makes an excellent addition to your Owl classroom Décor. Paper lanterns are great for developing fine motor skills such as: folding, coloring, painting, gluing, cutting, listening and following directions. Embedded within this Owl Project there are several activities to extend your students learning about the Owls. These units are designed in a Mix and Match format. You are able to pick the pieces that you want, depending on the needs and the abilities of your students…so many possibilities. This unit can be approached in several ways. Either as a quick Owl project that will take about 2 hours to complete. Or as long, in-depth Owl Research Activity that will take upwards of a week to complete. In my classroom, creating the basic lantern will take my kiddos about 2 hours (coloring and assembly). I often have my kiddos write on the back of the owl lantern and the underside of the Owl wings facts about Owls. With older grades, I have my students do an Owl Research Project. Not only do they have to research about an owl species, they work on recreating their Owl lantern to look as realistic as possible. You can easily use this project to spiral into Owl literature and science in so many ways. Included: • Printed Owl templates • Clear step-by-step instructions • Owl sample photos … check out the preview to see everything included! ********************************************************************** Keywords: :: Owl Craft :: Owl Crafts :: Owl Activity :: Owls in the Family :: Owl craft template :: Owl art :: Owl art project :: Owl lantern :: Owl classroom decoration :: Owl decor :: Owl Zen-tangle :: Owl research project :: Owl models :: Paper Lantern :: Ms Lil ::

Halloween Trick or Treat

Halloween Trick or Treat

I have bundled together four resources which I think will be useful on the approach to Halloween. One asks students to use adjectives and adverbs to create a spooky atmosphere; another explains how to build a story paragraph by paragraph about a walk through the woods; another is a tongue twister in the style of Dr Seuss about a cat and a hat and one is a comprehension in which we discover that bats are not such scary creatures after all... Suitable for ages 7+
