Internet, Cybersecurity and Desktop Publishing - KS3

Internet, Cybersecurity and Desktop Publishing - KS3

A KS3 scheme of work for 6 lessons that incorporates skills for Desktop Publishing to create a information leaflet that educates parents or fellow students about the Internet, Cybercrime and Cybersecurity. First three lessons are information and activities: How the internet works What is cybercrime - viruses, ddos and phishing What is social engineering - phishing, pharming, blagging and shouldering Please note that lesson three uses a worksheet from CAS: http://community.computingatschool.org.uk/resources/4865/single Last three lessons are for creating the leaflet, peer review and finishing up. This can be used as a scaffold to work from or can be used as is. Note: I am partly using TES to check the quality of my resources - I’d appreciate helpfully critical feedback as well as positive reviews.

This resource is aimed at Teachers of Keystage 3 ICT and includes all the criteria for assessment from Emerging levels E1, E2 and E3 upto level 9. I use this along side my units of work and have the assessment criteria linked to this ladder for each unit. I am planning to upload each unit of work as I update it. I have placed this in a spreadsheet format as it is easier to manipulate and have included a coloured versions, black and white, small print and large. The format I have chosen to print for my students is a 4 page booklet, however , you may decide to change the layout etc. to suit your assessment system.
