Body Language Flash Card

Body Language Flash Card

These are body langauage flash cards, ready to be printed as they are to be either blown up or laminated. I have used them in my drama and English lessons, they have proven to be really effective for year 9 students who are preparing to answer the ‘performance’ question for the SATs Shakespeare paper. And they can be used and adapted in any way you want.

Orpheus - an interactive musical CD

Orpheus - an interactive musical CD

Orpheus is a musical inspired by the Greek myth. The music and lyrics were written by Marc Forde and we were delighted to have had Johnny Morris to narrate it for us. This is the first interactive CD from Balagan Theatre Company. This production is designed to appeal to children from year 3 upwards. We actually did a production of the musical in St James church in Piccadilly with children aged between 8 - 11. The aim eventually is to produce a series of musical shows that can be put on by any class teacher, no matter how developed (or not) their musical skill. Apart from the audio tracks, the CD also includes the following: - A licence to perform the work; - Notes for a teacher on how to put on the musical; - Story of Orpheus; - Complete Lyrics Sheets; - Narrative script; - Full production script; - A songbook adaptation for piano and voice; - Instrumental scores for violin, viola, cello, trumpet, clarinet, piano and conductor's full score; - Photos of cast members and musicians; - Backing tracks with synchronised lyrics for children to practise to, or perform with, if you don't have access to musicians. You have access here to the teachers' notes, the songbook (for piano and voice) and 3 songs from the show. Extracts from this and our other works can be heard on www.amazingtunes.com/users/mogranne and on Balagan's web site - www.balagantheatre.co.uk It would be great for us to hear from more teachers. Let us know what you think!
