Web Technologies - A-Level Computer Science - OCR - 1.3.4 - Lesson 2

Web Technologies - A-Level Computer Science - OCR - 1.3.4 - Lesson 2

This lesson explains the page rank algorithm and links to two incredible videos by computer sciences teacher craig and dave. These videos are free and available on youtube. This is not what you're paying for. Around the video linked to the slides, there is structure including an explanation of how search engines work. There are comments on monetising and also comments on how the page rank algorithm works. I have typed in the drawbacks to each of the algorithms and given students links to the videos. There is a task allocated for the lesson once your students have taken notes. They should build on content from the previous lesson.

New National 5 Database Design and Development (2017/18 onwards) complete unit of work, theory and practical.

This bundle completely covers the theory side of this part of the course as well as the practical side. It covers: Analysis Design Implementation Testing Evaluation. This has helped me deliver the course this year and it would massively help any teacher out who doesn't have the time to create resources. I have also included a Database unit that can be used as part of your BGE in S1-S3.

New National 5 - Creating Relational databases and using SQL Queries in MS Access

New National 5 - Creating Relational databases and using SQL Queries in MS Access

This resource is a unit of that shows pupils how to create relational databases and query their database using SQL. This is a great way for pupils to get hands-on experience of SQL, which is an essential part of the new updated National 5 Database Design and Development (2017/18 onwards). I use this in conjunction with the PowerPoint that I also have available and the SQL examples used in the booklet match the ones in the PowerPoint.
