Here's a great song for your primary/elementary Pirate Topic or for whole class or assembly singing. It is sung from the point of view of a pirate going on a voyage to find treasure. It includes some basic pirate vocabulary, seafaring lingo and lots of oh-heave-ho-ing! Our teaching video shows songwriter Al Start playing and signing the song with lyrics as subtitles. When the children have learned the song, use the audio track and lyrics sheet as back-up.

Pirates Wordsearch History Starter Settler Activity Homework Cover Lesson

Pirates Wordsearch History Starter Settler Activity Homework Cover Lesson

Wordsearch on the theme of 'Pirates'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. The repetition of the word over and over as they look for the word is useful in remembering the terms. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!

Pirate Craft :: Pirate Activities :: Fine Motor crafts

Pirate Craft :: Pirate Activities :: Fine Motor crafts

Pirates in the Classroom…Oh My! A wonderful, creative way to decorate your room for a Pirate themed unit. Pirates hanging from the ceiling or sitting on the shelf, your kiddos will love creating and putting on their own personal touches. These units are designed in a Mix and Match format. You are able to pick the pieces that you want, depending on the needs and the abilities of your students. There are so many different possibilities. Each lantern creation is designed with a printed lantern template and a blank template. Blank templates are intended for your kids to come up with their own designs or you can have your kids color, cut out and glue on the Pirate faces. So many ways to create the Pirate hats using glitter, paper layering, leaves, shredded paper, cotton pieces, tissue paper... Make sure to add the Pirate legs and eye patch…too cute! In my classroom, creating the basic lantern will take my kiddos about 90 minutes (coloring and assembly). Adding on hats, hair, arms, legs and other bits and pieces will take me an additional 45 to 60 minutes. Included: • Printed lantern templates • Blank lantern template • Cut & Glue-on Pirate Face parts • Sailor trim shirts, peg leg, eye patches and parrots Keywords :: Pirate :: Pirate Craft :: Pirate Activity :: Boy Pirate :: Girl Pirate :: Pirate Captain :: Paper Lantern :: 3D craft :: Fine motor craft :: Ms Lil :: Pirate party : pirate art ::
