KS3 Forces calculations lesson 6

A differentiated lesson complete with a 5 minute lesson plan. AFL, engagement and prior learning have all been considered. This lesson includes another “Superhero science” themed practical. These lessons are designed to compliment my KS3 student Forces workbook. Each lesson has integrated teacher support and suggestions to assist delivery of the lesson.

Lesson content, timings and strategies have been tried and tested in the classroom with various ability sets to a great success!

In this lesson we begin with retrieval practise and how to calculate resultant forces as a class. They then complete differentiated whiteboard questions, calculating resultant force before a practical using Newton meters to work out force. Together on the board you can interpolate the data to find the answer. In the remaining lesson time there are more differentiated whiteboard questions for students to work through.
