French Basics - presentation and resources for teaching times using 12hr clock

French Basics - presentation and resources for teaching times using 12hr clock

If students in the early stages of language learning lack confidence with using numbers or with using analogue times in English, they are likely to struggle with telling the time in French. By beginning with digital times, starting with the 12 hour clock, students are able to master the structures and become confident with the numbers before moving on to the 24hr clock and ultimately to analogue times. The materials provided here present and practise digital times using the 12 hour clock. They include: a step-by-step 12 slide presentation, which could be split over more than one lesson; activities/games for extensive speaking/listening/reading practice; reading and writing worksheets; a reference sheet; teacher notes. There are also opportunities to include the 24 hour clock. Teachers could go on to reinforce the work by including the times in any number of sentence structures.

Basics revision - numbers/places in town/character adjectives.

Harking back to the FCSE. This was a handy sheet for level 4 revision.... Now it would serve well as a good cover sheet if groups have covered the vocab' I've put in the title. Even if they haven't it would be a good dictionary worksheet for cover. Year 8 and possibly lower ability year 9.
