GCSE Computer Science - Ethical & Legal Debate Generator

GCSE Computer Science - Ethical & Legal Debate Generator

Download this for FREE using the code OUTSTANDINGOCT at the checkout!* *New accounts or first-time buyers only, code expires Oct 31st 2017 This PowerPoint features 100 ethical and legal debates based on the AQA and Edexcel GCSE Computer Science specifications. As per the AQA specification, it deals with: • cyber security • mobile technologies • wireless networking • cloud storage • theft of computer code • issues around copyright of algorithms • cracking • hacking • wearable technologies • computer based implants. With a focus on privacy. It also includes some other ethical issues (e.g. relating to AI, automation) that students will find interesting. Each debate asks students to move from one side of the room or the other to make their position clear: teachers should then use questioning to foster a debate between students, encouraging them to present reasons for their choice and defend their position. This resource can be used for an entire lesson, but it is recommended as a tool to use at the end of lessons throughout the course: it's especially useful in the event that your lesson finishes early, as a good way to use the last minutes. Please leave a positive review if you like this download :)

Mobile Phones Wordsearch ICT Technology Literacy Starter Activity Homework Cover Lesson Plenary

Wordsearch on the theme of 'Mobile Phones'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!

Cambridge Technicals Level 3 IT Spec 2016_Transition (Summer work)

Cambridge Technicals Level 3 IT Spec 2016_Transition (Summer work)

Course : Cambridge Technicals Level 3 IT Spec 2016. This work is set for year 11 into 12 as part of their transition work over the summer. It is meant to be a bit more interesting, I believe - rather than setting work based on Unit 1 Fundamentals of IT. The fact finding they complete for this transition work will be useful for Unit 3 Cyber Security. Most students chose to do presentation, even though I though the video news was more interesting. One student did a good leaflet, last year. This piece of work is easier to monitor as evidence. I do set additional summer work eg. on programming practice but it is harder to check, who's done what. The file is in Microsoft Word 2017 for easy edit. I am also providing 2013 version, in case you have not upgraded to 2017 version. I hope you can write a review. Thank you.
