GREETINGS AND PERSONAL INFORMATION IN FRENCH

GREETINGS AND PERSONAL INFORMATION IN FRENCH

This is a comprehensive and interactive PPT with 42 slides on greetings and personal information. The first part goes through the various ways of greetings, both formal and informal. The second part looks at how to ask and respond to a range of personal information: name, age, phone number, date of birth, where I live and come from, nationality, job, where you work. It is followed by some practice and a who's who game with pictures of famous people. It is suitable for KS3 students but I also found it very useful for KS4 students in preparation for the role-plays, as they often forget how to ask and respond properly to basic questions.

An interactive presentation to practise and revise vocabulary with young students. Ideal to add a little competition within your class, or year group. The vocabulary used can easily be amended. In the presentation as it is, it is aimed at year 7 students and includes: survival kit, countries, compass points, days of the week, months, seasons, greetings, school subjects, times of the day, frequency phrases, connectives and adjectives. Instructions: click on a number (possibly suggested by students in the target language) which will take you to the same number slide and introduce a word in English. Students then spell out the word and can check when you reveal the word on the board. Click on the bee in the top left-hand corner to return to the main slide and click on another number. Numbers that have been clicked on before become shaded, but still can be clicked on.

French - Label the countries in Europe

Pupils use the worksheet (and their knowledge of countries in Europe) to label the map of Europe in French. This could be done previous to or following teaching of countries in Europe or maybe a quick pre-worksheet quiz about the countries in English.

FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES - 46 DISPLAY POSTERS / FLASHCARDS

FRENCH-SPEAKING COUNTRIES - 46 DISPLAY POSTERS / FLASHCARDS

PERFECT FOR CREATING AN INSTANT INTRODUCTION TO THE FRENCH-SPEAKING WORLD AND GREAT FOR READING, SPEAKING AND PRONUNCIATION PROMPTS TOO! Create an instant introduction to LES PAYS FRANCOPHONES and brighten up your classroom with this set of posters showing a range of world countries and territories where FRENCH is an official language. Each poster shows the country and capital city in FRENCH, and its national flag, and together they give your classroom a great multicultural look and feel. At the same time, they promote FRENCH as a living language, spoken widely across the world, and featuring in the everyday life of your learning environment. I’ve included countries or regions where a significant number of the population speak FRENCH as either their first or second language, such as Viet Nam. I’ve also included two posters for some countries, such as FRANCE, officially known as the RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE - you can choose either the more frequently-used LA FRANCE or the RÉPUBLIQUE FRANÇAISE to display. There may be a number of countries and capital cities that students do not know, or are not aware of, so the posters also help them develop their general awareness, knowledge and understanding of world geography. The posters look great displayed horizontally across a particular learning area alphabetically works well, though non-alphabetically is perfect for a country quest activity! The resource consists of two non-editable files in a zipped format. Please read the TERMS OF USE carefully - the posters are copyright, and for single teacher/purchaser-use only. MERCI BEAUCOUP ET BON VOYAGE !
