El tema de la obediencia en El Laberinto: traducción

El tema de la obediencia en El Laberinto: traducción

Translation from English into Spanish on this theme. The translation adds up to key points useful for revision/essay writing. I made this resource with the help of the Hodder publication on the film (an excellent film guide, by the way!). Happy teaching and learning, Blanca.

Changing gender

Changing gender

Here is a resource that I have adapted from 20minutos.com. It is suitable for a good Year 12 class or a Year 13 class and could also be used for revision. The resource is a short text about the number of people who have changed their gender in Spain since 2012 and I have included some follow up exercises to enable the class to access the text and then write about their own opinions on this issue.

Global citizenship: Derechos y responsabilidades

Global citizenship: Derechos y responsabilidades

Our Y9 SOW has a module on Global issues/citizenship. I remember I had some wants and needs cards which I used in PSHE once. The resources are cards for students to sort (wants and needs) and a powerpoint to accompany. I have used this with my lower set (none of whom are continuing with Spanish). Any feedback or comments on how I've translated some of the concepts would be helpful.

Los valores tradicionales y modernos: notas de revisión (AQA)

Los valores tradicionales y modernos: notas de revisión (AQA)

This is the first in a series of revision notes that I have created for my students. They are a summary of key information/ideas seen in class. They revise ideas for the speaking cards and also key vocabulary in context. They can be used in preparation for end of unit tests, mock exams and for the real exams.

Irlanda aprueba el matrimonio homosexual

Irlanda aprueba el matrimonio homosexual

A video clip from Antena 3 noticias. In this exercise I would delete the questions from the work sheet and allow students to write the questions. Once they are happy that the questions and answers match, they can translate the questions into Spanish. Another way to differentiate this task would be to give the students multiple choice answers.
