This means that students can write their initials on their square instead of using counters. The way the game is played can be manipulated. However, the main instructions are as follows (also included on sheet):
Roll Two Die to Create a Co-ordinate. Place your coloured counter on the square that the roll corresponds to. If answer is correct, receive points as follows:
Points: Red squares are worth 1, Yellow squares score 2 points, and Green squares score 5 points
Grades: Red squares are 4/5 Grade, Yellow squares and 6/7 Grade and Green Squares and 8/9 Grade answers
Please use a great revision resource for group work. Please also leave any feedback for future revision mats and how to improve them.

A ten question Maths quiz with questions on angles, trigonometry, circles, percentages etc.
This would make a great starter or form time activity!
Answers can be found on the final slide.

Seven examples of regression graphs are given with lines of best fit added. Examples of positive, negative and linear approximation relationships are used. Students are asked to state the correlation then estimate and interpret the intercept and gradient of each graph. The students need to know how to estimate the gradient from 2-points on the line and find the intercept by extrapolation. The task is presented in two forms (1) a write on worksheet and (2) a cut up , mix and match activity. The second option is designed to encourage group work and discussion. There is a set of extension questions, one for each graph that promote further consideration on the strengths and limitations of lines of best fit. Answers are provided in a separate file. The activity is designed to be used with AS Mathematics students however it is accessible to Higher Tier GCSE Mathematics and GCSE Statistics students.

TES PICKS

GCSE Higher Tier says 'apply systematic listing strategies, including use of the product rule for counting (i.e. if there are m ways of doing one task and for each of these, there are n ways of doing another task, then the total number of ways the two tasks can be done is m × n ways)'.
A clear, colourful and carefully explained PowerPoint presentation building up the skills from simple matching problems to calculating combinations and permutations in a variety of realistic and original settings, with lots of opportunity for the learner to reflect, apply, and evaluate the problems.
Also available in my shop are two differentiated worksheets of adapted exam questions from sample and real GCSE assessments.

Learn about keeping track of life expenses in this thought-provoking, eye-opening, real-world project.

Time saving resource for teachers. I have compiled 10 worksheets for secondary . Review with your students the main topics. Exclusively challenging questions.

Workbook to cover many aspects of scatter graphs.

This activity invites learners to use calculator skills to find the mean and standard deviation, using statistics students work together to decide on which horse will do the best of 5 races. The powerpoint presentation animates the horse race.

TES PICKS

Two sets of questions, differentiated by paper, for learners to complete. Plus answers.
Counting has always been on Foundation, so quite easy for learners.
Sophisticated counting strategies are new to the GCSE higher tier. The specs say:
apply systematic listing strategies, including use of the product rule for counting (i.e. if there are m ways of doing one task and for each of these, there are n ways of doing another task, then the total number of ways the two tasks can be done is m × n ways)
Hence also suitable for revision at A Level Statistics.
All questions follow the format of 2017 exams across the boards, and the SAMs and Mocks available.

SALE

This pack includes resources which are ideal to use at the start of lesson to get pupils engaged and motivated.

GCSE Maths - Assessment for Learning Checklist - Topic focussed
This is an assessment for learning grid/checklist for each topic on the new Maths GCSE.
Think every topic is there, but message me if there's any to add. I use this as a log to keep track of when I do topics with students.
