Dance Workshops for Schools

Dance Workshops for Schools

Dance Days was established in 2012 with the aim of providing educational & interactive dance workshops at a reasonable price. We don’t have the overheads of a large company and pass that saving back on to you. We offer dance workshops in schools of all ages. Our teachers have a vast amount of experience within the performing arts, from the West End or Television. We aim to provide your school with a first class service at a reasonable cost and give your pupils the chance to experience an interactive Dance Day. Our Dance Days are here to inspire, educate and boost confidence through dance. We have a variety of dance workshops to choose from, and all dance teachers are fully trained professional dance instructors, and of course have full CRB checks. The Philosophy of Dance Debate Generator! (P4C for Dance Teachers) [Discussion Generator] KS3-5

The Philosophy of Dance Debate Generator! (P4C for Dance Teachers) [Discussion Generator] KS3-5

Download this for 90% off: Just enter the code 90NOVEMBER at the checkout* *Expires Nov 30th, new accounts/first buyers only. This PowerPoint contains 101 philosophical debates for the dance classroom. It covers a broad array of topics: all aim to trigger philosophical debates and discussions that relate to dance. Each debate slide asks students to move to one side of the room or the other to make their position clear: teachers should then use questioning to foster a debate between students, encouraging them to present reasons for their choice and defend their position. It also includes a 'randomiser' slide so that you can generate random debate topics instantly. It is aimed at students aged 12-18: as with many philosophical issues, these are engaging for young people and adults! There are many uses: -End of lesson discussions in the dance classroom -Instant cover lessons for dance teachers -Form-time/tutor-groups -Debating societies -Boosting SMSC in dance classrooms -Boosting cross-curricular links in dance classrooms -Fostering cross-curricular links to dance in other subjects! Please leave a positive review if you like the download!

Year 1/2 Dance planning (Jungle animal theme)

Year 1/2 Dance planning (Jungle animal theme)

Included in this pack is a 4 week lesson plan which is broken into separate lessons, resulting in groups of children to create a dance to the jungle theme music. Each lesson includes objectives, teaching and assessment points. Warm up song 'Walking in the Jungle' (This brilliant clip was found from the link below) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoSq-yZcJ-4 Main jungle theme song (included in the pack), created by me (features animal jungle sounds) is to be used for the main dance. This dance topic is suitable for children from Early Years to Year 3. I have taught it with several year groups and they have thoroughly enjoyed it! It's great fun filming the finished dances and allowing the children to watch them back and give peer feedback. Please leave feedback if you purchase and use this resource. Thank you :)
