Year 1/2 Dance planning (Jungle animal theme)

Year 1/2 Dance planning (Jungle animal theme)

Included in this pack is a 4 week lesson plan which is broken into separate lessons, resulting in groups of children to create a dance to the jungle theme music. Each lesson includes objectives, teaching and assessment points. Warm up song 'Walking in the Jungle' (This brilliant clip was found from the link below) - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GoSq-yZcJ-4 Main jungle theme song (included in the pack), created by me (features animal jungle sounds) is to be used for the main dance. This dance topic is suitable for children from Early Years to Year 3. I have taught it with several year groups and they have thoroughly enjoyed it! It's great fun filming the finished dances and allowing the children to watch them back and give peer feedback. Please leave feedback if you purchase and use this resource. Thank you :)

Telling the Time - sequencing events.

Telling the Time:- Sequencing events for Special education and early years. This is a fun activity teaching time and how events are sequenced. It looks at 'First - then' and teaches it through playing a fun action game. It progresses onto 'First, next, then and last'. And finishes with 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Students can play the game using the Interactive whiteboard individually or as a group activity. The resources can also be printed and laminated and using that way. It was designed for special educational needs students, but is an great resources for very young mainstream students.

Making Halloween cupcakes:- Life Skills - Visual Recipes and supplementary resources.

Making Halloween cupcakes: This resource has a notebook and a worksheet. The notebook is designed for the students to use it as a visual sequence when cooking. They have all the ingredients and utensils needed and then an easy to follow recipe. It has an inbuilt shopping activity so that the cooking can be integrated into a shopping program. Within the shopping part which encourages literacy skills, students can choose what they will buy and then make their own shopping list by either writing it or sticking the associated visual onto their shopping list. There are also some integrated literacy skills to match the ingredients as well as some writing sheets. There is a pairs game to reinforce the learning. It was created for students with special needs (SEN) for teaching life skills but can be used as a valuable resource for early years literacy.
