Chores Tic Tac Toe

Set of 8 Tic Tac Toe boards with pictures of 33 different chores. Can be used for several levels - identify the picture, make a sentence with the picture, use a particular tense, etc. Can be used for any language.

Chores Connect 4 game

Chores Connect 4 game

Connect 4 game using the vocabulary for 16 different chores. Students must correctly identify the coordinates of the square (wash the car and set the table). If wrong, the partner gets the square. Partners alternate turns. The goal is to get 4 squares in a row (vertical, horizontal, diagonal). Other than the title, game has pictures only, so may be used for any language.

Students take turns asking and answering questions. Each student has 6 questions to ask and 6 questions to answer. (At what time do you have math class? I have math class at 9:15.) School objects Slap game

Pictures of 50 school-related objects. Print on cardstock and cut into cards. Make 1 set for every 3-4 students. Place cards face up on the desk. Teacher calls out an object in the target language; first student to slap the correct card wins that point. Pictures only, no text, so good for any language.

Connect 4 game using the parts of the body. Students play in pairs. Students must correctly identify the coordinates of the square (mouth and leg). If wrong, the partner gets the square. Partners alternate turns. The goal is to get 4 squares in a row (vertical, horizontal, diagonal). The winner is the first one to Connect Four two times on the same board. Game has pictures only so may be used for any language.

There are two dot to dot pictures with the letters of the alphabet. Student A has a list of letters that he slowly reads out loud to student B. B listens carefully and connects the dots in the order he is told. Partners then exchange roles. Can be used for any language with the Roman alphabet.

Time Scoot activity

There are 36 different student sheets included; each sheet has one time in digits on it (5:20). There is a page included for students to record answers on. Students need to write a complete sentence in the target language telling what the time is. After about 30 seconds, the teacher announces Change seats or Scoot in the target language. Students all change seats and write a sentence for the new time. Good for any language.
