Sheets to help you easily make 10 sets of 0-9 number cards. I would recommend laminating for repeated use. Number cards are useful for all sorts of maths activities. They are a good way to generate different numbers for calculations. They are also useful in problem solving activities where children have to find all the possible numbers that can be made from different digits.
We have a real shortage of decodable reading books for beginner readers at my school and with no chance of any more being bought I've decided to have a go at making my own.
I've started by making this animals set. It starts with a book with simply the animal names, then goes on to introduce more words. All are decodable. There is no punctuation as the focus is on blending the words. With children that are really struggling to read the idea is they can take one of these books as their reading book and they will really succeed with it which will be a confidence boost. I will be making more books with different themes and will upload these as I make them.
If you have any ideas of themes for these books please write in the comments and I'll do my best to make them
12 cards each with a picture of a different part of the body and 12 cards with labels of each part. I've laminated these and use them as a group work activity getting the children to match the picture to the correct label
I added some decodable reading books recently and here are the next two that I have made. They are aimed at beginner readers and will hopefully be a useful resource where there aren't many decodable reading books in a school.
