This 50 - 60 minute lesson will introduce programming to a younger audience. It is fun and easy. It uses the Logo Academy portal which can be found at the Turtle Academy website and the Tynker Hour of Code website.

This lesson is based on programming constructs such as iteration and sequencing and is a fast paced and thoughtful lesson, with extension exercises.

Included in this pack are the following:

  • A full lesson plan with answers
  • A full presentation with coded videos included
  • An answer key for the 2nd task
  • A task sheet

This is suitable for a Year 5 or 6 class as an introduction to movement and loops, however this can also be used for a Year 7 class as an introduction at secondary school.
