Goal setting is an important skill for students to learn. Throughout our daily lives, we strive to improve through the goals we set. In the arts ed area, students can learn about the goal setting process as they strive to meet goals in the dance, drama, music, and visual arts areas. There are seven steps to the goal setting process:

1. Determine the Goal
2. Establish a Baseline
3. Describe Success
4. Focus on the Goal
5. Track Progress
6. Assess Achievement
7. Reflect on Goal
