In Create a Presentation “All About a Topic”, students create an interactive presentation to share information about a topic they care about.

Duration: 45-90 minutes

Create a Presentation “All About a Topic” is suitable for Key Stage 3.

Students use Search and Slides.

By the end of these lessons, students should be able to:

  • Create a slide presentation that includes text, images, and animations to communicate information about a specific topic.

  • Answer the following essential question: How do I introduce a topic and express my personality and interests in an engaging, compelling way to an audience?

  • Internalise the following enduring understandings:

  • There are different ways to convey information to entertain, engage, and inform your audience.
  • Making a presentation is one way to share information about yourself or a topic.
  • How you add to and customise a presentation gets your message across in different ways.

The resource is video-based and features FREE, ready-to-use lesson plans, rubrics to enable teachers to evaluate a student’s work across a variety of skills and levels of proficiency (i.e. beginner, developing, accomplished, and exemplary) and a dashboard to show how each student is progressing.
