Franklin the Turtle - Activities Across the Curriculum

At first glance it would seem that Franklin would only be suitable for very young primary students, but there are several aspects that make Franklin suitable for older students as well. For example, see the patterning activities for Franklin’s Blanket and you will see that they are ideal for introducing arrays for interpreting multiplication and division sentences in the Grade 3 Number Sense and Numeration. In this unit the outcomes for each grade are clearly stated, ideas for evaluation are given. There are activities to deal with all aspects of the curriculum.
