A useful powerpoint based on the topic of surds. I would use this as a revision resource for pupils about to take a GCSE. Has some clear and concise examples, some practice questions for pupils to attempt as well as some good notes for pupils to note down.

#### E1 Maths Worksheets

These are two worksheets I have used with my LLD group this year who are working around E1 in maths. They each have spikey profiles and their skills range from M8 to E2. With the Writing Days worksheet, I use it to link the days and numbers to ordinal numbers. The weaker learners can stop at Third for example whereas the more able could go to seventh. This can cross over with their English writing work. The Bigger/Larger worksheet also crosses over with English writing and is about phrases in Maths with the same meaning. Hope these help.

Flip- chart moves through stages of multiplication as repeated addition and then an array. Can be made more practical (fun) by having a collection of small pairs of socks and lots of real life examples of an array. Also children love the chocolate challenge!
#### Sequence Ratio Worksheet - Differentiated

This is a nice activity to introduce the idea of ratio, by using sequences. Suitable for KS2.

I found it useful to use pieces of card (e.g. 1 yellow for every 2 blue) to visually demonstrate beforehand (using volunteers - each holding the correct ratio) and show how to record this into a table on the whiteboard as you go, before using this resource as the main activity.

I also allowed children to use counters at their table to aid them whilst completing the worksheet, as this was very beneficial to some learners.
