After lots of requests it’s finally here - a collection of 10 activities to help introduce children to entering formulae into spreadsheets. Starts at the basics of cell referencing and using simple formulae, moving onto more complex formulae (e.g. SUM, MIN, MAX, AVERAGE) and ending with some modelling problems and maths investigations for children to complete. I WOULD LOVE TO READ ANY FEEDBACK / COMMENTS YOU HAVE :-) Topics also included: Interpreting data.

Printable 'mats' containing the four VCOP pyramids (with all the levels for KS2 and with just the first three levels for KS1) and a selection of writing tips for children to follow (e.g. how to use speech marks properly, explanations of the different homophones etc.). An 8 round Christmas quiz
Consists of :
Round 1 – Adverts (Guess the 2015 Christmas Advert)
Round 2 – Christmas Confectionary
Round 3 – Christmas True or False
Round 4 – Christmas Dingbats
Round 5 – Celeb Photos
Round 6 – Christmas Movies
Round 7 – Stats Round
Round 8 – Christmas Knowledge
Its all on the powerpoint - don't show the pupils the adverts (you will need access to youtube); I have added a little comment about how long to play each one because some do say the companies name !
Intended to be printed and laminated for a wall display on literary devices. Uses examples from a lot of modern films (lots of Harry Potter!) to make explanations clear and relevant to pupils.
I hope it comes in handy.
RECENTLY UPDATED (Dec 2015) - New look, overview sheet has been added, better protection, objectives edited.
Assessment spreadsheets and tracking resources I've created using a 7-point system. Enter numbers 1-7 (which is explained in the introduction) into spreadsheet for learning objectives which will then calculate averages and a progress 'level' for the accompanying tracking sheets. The newly added overview sheet is a great addition which gives you an instant understanding of the current level of your children in maths, reading, writing and science. Who needs classroom monitor and the ongoing cost? This system, plus my foundation subjects tracking system (see link below), will be all your school needs for tracking progress in this 'interesting' era of assessment without levels. Please, leave feedback for this amazing resource!
NOW ADDED: Foundation Subject Assessment and Tracking without Levels:
