One whole Maths lesson (and possible homework) for Upper Key Stage 2 and above.
Children need to read and use data for each of the Premier League and Championship football clubs to answer a range of questions.
The data is from the 2017/18 season (most recent season with all data available) and has the cost of tickets, programmes, pies and cups of tea for each team.
Used with my own Upper KS2 class and they were really engaged and enjoyed the challenge and the discussion about the cost of attending a football match that it prompted. It makes them realise how much the cost of watching a football match actually is.
Resource consists of: Data sheet with information for all Premier League and Championship teams.
Question sheet with a range of questions for children to answer.
