"I'm ready to read!"
Use these bookmarks as a fun and colorful way for your students to mark their reading progress while reminding themselves of their personal goals and targets for the brand new year. These bookmarks are great for zooming in to specific attainable reading goals for your reading skills unit.
Print on heavy cardstock-like paper to support your bookmark or on ordinary sheets which would be mounted onto both sides of the cardstock later on. Let your students select goals (one per bookmark is ideal) and write on the lines at the back. When bookmarks are completed simply arrange as many as possible inside a large laminating pouch about 1/2 inch (1.3 cm) from one another. Secure with a dab from a clear glue stick to hold them in place, and laminate them all at once. Cut them out and punch a hole at the top and add a tassel. There are colored, low colored and black 'n white options.
