This was an assembly I put together for Remembrance Day. It has sound clips for Flanders Fields and the Last Post which you can use with the PowerPoint. This assembly was aimed at KS3/4 within an SEN Learning Disability School. The presentation can easily be adapted to meet the needs of other learners.
As part of our heritage November 11th, 2012 marks 94 years since the end of World War I and everyone is invited to this annual Remembrance Day ceremony. It is our duty to respect Remembrance Day and teach pupils and students about this dark side of our past.
Here’s a load of resources I developed when I was teaching ICT. It includes a resource to look at the Commonwealth War Grave Commission database, and one to research either Rudyard Kipling’s role in WWI or to look at the war poem Dulcet et Decorum est. It really makes the children stop and think, while doing some thoughtful ICT work.
End of year quiz to use with all secondary year groups and classes, maybe years 5 and 6 too.
Quiz contains celebrity mash up, current years news questions, movies, general knowledge and music and theme tunes round.
Questions, Answers and MUSIC all contained in one easy to follow PowerPoint. Very easy to use, minimal work from the teacher:)
Pupils loved it, enjoy and have a great summer break.
An 8 round Christmas quiz
Consists of :
Round 1 – Adverts (Guess the 2015 Christmas Advert)
Round 2 – Christmas Confectionary
Round 3 – Christmas True or False
Round 4 – Christmas Dingbats
Round 5 – Celeb Photos
Round 6 – Christmas Movies

Its all on the powerpoint - don't show the pupils the adverts (you will need access to youtube); I have added a little comment about how long to play each one because some do say the companies name !
