The questions are aimed at a low ability year 6 group. The story has a wonderful twist so don't give out he questions until the children have read the story once through, you don't want to spoil it for them. I have included answers for reference in note form. You'll probably expect better from your pupils! Also for EAL pupils I have produced a short noun word bank, although I will use it with my whole group.
