Writing Center Activities
There are twelve activities included in this package of materials. All activities are provided in colour and in black/white and have both primary and regular writing lines.
There are three different ways to show students the choices they have in the writing center. Hang the full page posters on a wall for students to reference or use the smaller cards on a bulletin board. A writing tic-tac-toe board is also included that students can refer to when choosing a writing activity. You can also decide if students need to complete specific writing activities.
Writing Checklist Bookmarks
There are five different choices of bookmarks included in this package of materials. Give each student the bookmark that matches his/her learning needs. Four of the bookmarks have question prompts. The last bookmark is blank for you to customize if needed.
A number of winter words are provided in four different formats to support your students with their writing. Use the set of large word cards on a word wall. Students can reference the word wall to help them with their spelling. The second format is individual word cards. Provide each student with a set of word cards to help them develop their winter sight vocabulary. The third format is a poster of related winter words that could be placed in the writing center. The last format is a set of bookmarks that students could include in their writing folders to use when completing the different writing projects.
