Oliver Full Production Pack

Oliver Full Production Pack

**This pack includes** An Adaptation of Oliver Script: This is a script that has been performed successfully by primary school aged children with adults, but can be performed by high school age and above. It's 1 hour without an interval but has been written as two 30 minute Acts. Including the music adds about 10 minutes on each Act. The lines are suitable for children to learn (in our performance Oliver and Dodger were 8 years old) and has a suitable ending for a children's production. The cover picture gives you an idea of costume and staging. I have had media consents to use this picture. Oliver Poster Template: This is an A4 size poster to accompany my Oliver Production. Book Review Activities + 'How to Write a Great Blurb' Poster

Book Review Activities + 'How to Write a Great Blurb' Poster

This packet contains foldable book review templates where students can create their own front cover. Also included is a book report activity. The foldable book review provides space for students to create their own blurb with writing lines. When folded in the middle, students write their favourite part of the book/story. I have also provided a poster that explains how to write a great blurb (clear steps). This is a fun, little project great for any age. It's important for students to reflect on what they have been reading. Recreating a book and offering their own interpretation can encourage creative thinking and help boost students comprehension/writing skills. Spelling alternatives are considered in this packet. Thank you and I hope you enjoy! Feel free to email me at teachsuper@gmail.com for any questions. ©Teach Super

Hansel and Gretel Primary School Activity Overview

Hansel and Gretel Primary School Activity Overview

Here is a great overview of lots of activities based on the full text of the tale of Hansel and Gretel from the collection made by the Grimm brothers. There is a full introduction to the text used, with a brief historical context to the setting. I have included an approach to how to introduce the text to children, either as a read story or a performed oral tale. Following that, there are extensive activities designed for warm-up games for concentration or drama, creative activities indoors or outdoors. at Forest School or similar. Tasks include: carving, cookery, puppetry, making and following pathways, fire safety, hot chocolate and bread, having a feast, drama, problem solving, art and design, science (light and dark), poetry and understanding texts. I have included a recommended background reading for teachers interested in the history of the Grimms Tales and the more rewarding versions of the stories than the norm. Most of the activities are suitable for EYFS or Key Stage 1, but Lower Key Stage 2 would probably benefit from them too.
