International Men's Day

International Men's Day

You could look at it directly as a presentation and discuss the different activities being shown in each of the photos. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching display about International Men's Day. The students could also take the laminated photos and sort them into different activities. The students can then discuss what they think each one was saying or thinking. The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.

Bruno - A Former Street Child

Bruno - A Former Street Child

Bruno grew up on the streets of Kampala, Uganda's capital city. His story highlights the realities of what it means to be homeless as a child and the challenges street children face. This social justice resource can be used across English, PSHE, Citizenship and Geography. To further engage your pupils with his story, we have created a variety of literacy activites including: 1. Bullet points and reporting 2. Comprehension, 3. Similes and Metaphors, 4. Punctuation and Adjectives 5. Autobiographies and Story Telling. This is a great resource to coincide with International Day for Street Children. The accompanying video for this resource can be found here: https://vimeo.com/123089613
