Business & Enterprise Enrichment Activity: TENNER TYCOON COMPLETE LESSON & DIFFERENTIATED RESOURCES

Business & Enterprise Enrichment Activity: TENNER TYCOON COMPLETE LESSON & DIFFERENTIATED RESOURCES

Business & Enterprise Enrichment Activity Tenner Tycoon Complete Lesson Ppt + Lesson Plan + Differentiated Resources. Ideal for use during Tutor time, Enrichment Days, Young Enterprise sessions, or within assembly. The PowerPoint begins with a hook activity where students have to guess company logos. It then introduces the audience to Richard Branson, his various businesses, and how he has become successful. Following this, students have then got to plan the launch of a desirable, profitable product that can be sold in school, and launched with only £10 worth of funding. A plenary completes the challenge and recaps what students have learnt. Differentiated resources include structured worksheets for each year group. The higher the year group, the less scaffolding there is. This resource has been created to save you developing a fit-for-purpose assembly, Tutor period, or enrichment session. Interactive Calendar - School Term Dates Calculator

Interactive Calendar - School Term Dates Calculator

This is an interactive Excel model which is useful for SLT when planning their term dates for the coming 2018/2019 academic year. By shading each of the dates a certain colour (e.g. green represents a day when both students and staff are present at school) - the model will calculate how many of each day are present in the academic year. This is most useful when considering where and when to place staff training days, school holidays and start/ed of term dates to minimise impact on student attendance/attainment in the run up and return from holidays! It is closely based on a standard LA term dates layout so that it can be easily shared with staff when complete.

Science department ordering sheet

Science department ordering sheet

This is a whole department resource - specifically for Science departments where ordering of Chemicals and preparation of practicals and demos needs to be done a week in advance. I designed this resource for our school and it has really made a huge improvement to the efficiency of our department… Not to mention it has saved lots of paper! As a template it can just be reused for the next week, as well as printed off and displayed for the department so that it is clear what practical has been ordered. It is used as a shared document by us, so that we can all make changes at a given time. It has made life easier for technicians and teachers alike :). Points to make note off: There is conditional formatting present on the spreadsheet, this is to help identify which teacher / technician / room for that particular practical. This can be easily altered in the conditional formatting section of the excel file.

Financial Awareness & Money Management Activity Day

Financial Awareness & Money Management Activity Day

As part of my role I have personally introduced a ‘Financial Awareness & Money Management Day’ which is aimed at educating students in the importance of managing their finances and teaching them the significance of budgeting and proactively managing their finances. I believe that is my responsibly as a teacher to introduce the students to the realities of life and educate them in more than just the curriculum so that when they leave our school they can become mature and responsible members of our society I have ran the event for the past six years and it involves year 9 students being broken down into mixed ability groups, given a budget and the task of planning their perfect school leavers prom. They are responsible for planning the venue, marketing, catering, entertainment and every other element of their school prom – with one important rule, they cannot go over budget. As with real life though there are ‘unexpected’ windfalls and setbacks that can affect their budget, meaning they either have to cut back and re-budget or can afford to buy that little extra luxury! The students can also earn their team some extra cash by winning quizzes and tasks that we have throughout the day – students are given problems to solve and also have to use the internet to research and answer questions related to the financial industry, including the different products and services they offer. Students are able to gain a further understanding of the world of finance and the types of services that are available, whilst competing to earn a reward for their group. At the end of the day we give out prizes to the winning group and also reward those students and groups who have worked particularly well throughout the day. this file contains venue booklet catering booklet decorations booklet entertainment booklet task information for pupils order forms expenses forms shop price list gain or loss slips bank card sticker template suggested structure of the day
