Moanas Missing Christmas Tree Pantomime Script for 6-12 year olds

Moanas Missing Christmas Tree Pantomime Script for 6-12 year olds

Moana has returned to visit her parents for Christmas only to wake up one morning to find their magic Christmas tree has been stolen by the Grinch! They must climb Mount Crumpit to retrieve it in time for their party or Christmas will be ruined! This is an original script I created for my 7-11 year olds Acting course through their suggestions. There are 2 very flexible song suggestions and 2 dance suggestions: these can be performed / changed / adapted however the director sees fit.

A Mean Old Man - Scrooge gets up to date! Full Length Musical for Secondary Schools and Sixth Form

A Mean Old Man - Scrooge gets up to date! Full Length Musical for Secondary Schools and Sixth Form

This is a full length musical packed with outstanding songs - there's no 'filler' here! Scrooge is an estate agent, pay day loan shark, scrap gold merchant with an intern on a government training scheme. THERE CAN BE OVER 60 SPEAKING PARTS. PLEASE listen to the overview or go to the You Tube movie of the songs as performed by pupils at a secondary school. I've attached some of the backing tracks to give a flavour of the quality of the music on offer. There's really too much stuff to put it on to the TES site. I will provide what you need including full scores, backing tracks demo tracks and any other advice you need. Here's a synopsis: A Mean Old Man Synopsis Scrooge is alive and well and living in your local town as the proprietor of ‘Scrooge and Marley’ - estate agent, ‘unwanted’ gold dealer and pay day loan shark. His long suffering clerk is still Bob Cratchit; Bob is on a Government training scheme but the only education he gets from Scrooge is in the school of hard knocks. Cratchit moonlights in a band - he hopes to make it on an X Factor type programme but he has to keep regular money coming in to support Mrs Cratchit and the improbable number of Cratchettes - including of course a simpering do goody Tiny Tim (or Tina depending on casting). The show starts with a dance duet performed to a smoky jazz number ‘Wish For The Moon’ which tells Scrooge that his number is up. The dancers personify giving and taking and dance around a static figure with his back to the audience. Carol singers enter and ask Scrooge for a donation - whoops! Then we have the charity collectors who are dismissed, followed in short order by Darren and Sharon - Scrooge’s nephew and his - well - common (in every respect) law wife. Scrooge refuses their kind overtures and reluctantly gives Cratchit Christmas day off; Cratchit escapes the office and meets up with his fellow band members who wonder what they would do with all that money. As Scrooge reaches home we are treated to the sight of Marley (complete with dreadlocks and FX on Ghetto Blaster) who resembles his cousin Bob very strongly; in his own brand of punk ska he warns Scrooge of the three ghosts who will visit him that night. Scrooge poo poos this and settles down with his Freemans catalogue - he has just opened the ladies underwear section when he is interrupted by what appears to be an early 1960s cheesy pop singer who announces that he is the ghost of Christmas Past (‘long past?’ - ‘not on your nelly - your past - the rock’n’roll years!!) Superheroes! Assembly

Superheroes! Assembly

'Superheroes!' is one of a series of outstanding assemblies created for primary school children, which includes full script songs and prayers with a part for every child. This assembly is ready to go! ‘Superheroes’ links with many areas of the National Curriculum, including the: English, Music, Drama and PSHE spheres, with a theme that is rooted in upstanding values and is relevant to the children’s everyday lives and interests –including a healthy ‘self-esteem’ injection for all! This assembly is all about recognising the ‘superhero’ in you, giving each child the chance to shine by stating their own unique ‘superhero’ power – from amazing reading skill or artistic genius to the sports star or reliable friend. The assembly also teaches to spot the ‘superhero’ in others and to be thankful for those who support and and save us in a hundred little ways every day. There is a part for every child – whether acting, singing, dancing or leading a prayer! Plans created by an Ofsted Good/Outstanding primary school teacher – History and Drama co-ordinator – with over ten years of experience. These outstanding assemblies have consistently engaged and excited all 30 performers in class… and have even got the adults in the audience up on their feet!

Year 7 Contemporary Dance

Year 7 Contemporary Dance

This scheme is taught to year 7 on a one hour a week basis. It looks at Ghost Dances, Still Life at the Penguin Café and Frantic Assembly in its very basic form. As they look at dance on a rotation this is just a flavour of contemporary dance. Included is a muscle work sheet which links with PE. 6 lessons - 6 hours. Each lesson has a link to either video or worksheet. Lesson 5 is an assessment as it coordinates with my school. Lesson 6 is usually something a little fun as it is always the last week of term.

Hallowe'en Activities

Hallowe'en Activities

A fun-packed, jam-packed goodie bag of Tricks and Treats for primary aged children at Hallowe'en time. There's a detailed set of activities for drama games, an arty party and warm-up games with a spooky twist, involving music, mindfulness, concentration , role-play, and moments of calm. The activities can form sessions on their own, but can be cherry picked to be incorporated to stimulate or round-off similarly themed lessons. At the end of the document, there's a short but informative recommended book list, including notes on the origins of the folk stories we know today that are far more terrifying in their original forms than their Disneyified counterparts. JUST ADDED! A set of worksheets based on the skull decorations often seen during Day of the Dead celebrations in Mexico and America. The first sheet provides illustrative examples for the children to look at and discuss (as a class. group, talking partner etc), the second sheet is a very basic colouring in (that can be added to with the children's own design and flowers etc), and the third is the basic skull shape, which is up to the children to design (and again flowers etc can be added). The children's skull pictures can be printed or stuck to card and made into masks by cutting out the eye holes and making holes at either side of the face.
