Taste & Teeth Activity

Taste & Teeth Activity

Taste & Teeth Activity! 1. Print and cut: Print out pages on pink paper(gums/tongue) and white paper(teeth) and cut. 2. Laminate (Suggested Step): I suggest laminating a version for years of use! 3. Attach: Use sticky tack, tape, velcrow or your choice of adhesive for the teeth and tongue. Lesson Suggestions: -Place yarn or play-doh in between teeth and have children use a toothbrush to clean them. -Use the numbered teeth template to let children count the teeth. - Use the tongue template as the starter for a discussion about taste and if possible have them taste foods and lable their own! -Materials: You will need scissors, yarn/play-doh, pink and white paper, and adhesive for the teeth. -I recommend lamination for years of use! Enhance your lesson by reading: The Tooth Book by Dr. Seuss I hope you enjoy my products. Be sure to leave a rating and follow me, Creativeteachersabroad. Snack Time Social Story & Routine

Snack Time Social Story & Routine

My children access snack independently, which means that sometimes things can go a bit awry! Therefore, establishing routines and setting boundaries is essential to ensure that children can continue to independently access their snack. You can edit pages to suit your needs or opt not to include them in your social story.

Earth & Life Science Series: My Body - Science Activities for 6 to 9 year olds

Earth & Life Science Series: My Body - Science Activities for 6 to 9 year olds

The Earth and Life Science Series - is designed to provide teachers of junior primary with a set of materials that will give students a more rounded and scientific understanding of the world around them. Earth and Life Science Series: My Body approaches the main theme of My Body from two aspects: By including sets of resource notes that provide background knowledge to the activities presented on the worksheet. These notes can be photocopied and used by children as they attempt the activity page, and their use will allow teachers to relate the class science program to the language program. By requiring children to use traditional print related reference materials to complete the set tasks on the sheets. Tasks in this section are of a more general nature but children will find them as stimulating and interesting as those in the first section, particularly when combined with a science investigation theme. This is a Photocopy Master ebook (44 pages) and activity pages may be photocopied for use in the classroom. Our ebooks are in pdf format. Edubooks is an imprint of Ready-Ed Publications. How to create healthy lunchboxes

How to create healthy lunchboxes

This lesson plan aims to give children in early Key Stage 2 (year 3 and 4) an insight into the different categories of food and drink and what benefits they can bring to their bodies as they develop and start to think about what they want to be when they're older. The lesson has been developed by Kyri Shiamtanis, a registered dietitian and accredited sports nutritionist. The lesson will teach children: - The nutritional benefits of different food and drink and why some should and shouldn't be included in their lunchbox at school - How to create a balanced meal, following the understanding of what each food group should achieve - How eating the right food and drink can help support future career choices no matter what they may be The lesson includes interactive activity with cut outs of the Eatwell Guide from Public Health England.
