Cone Games in PE- raising money for the charity Talk Education Partnership

Cone Games in PE- raising money for the charity Talk Education Partnership

This resource contains 16 game ideas which require only cones as equipment. You can use them, as stand alone activities or incorporate them into your PE lessons. Each game is colour coded by difficulty, includes 'how to play' instructions and has a simple diagram of how the activity should look. I created this resource for Talk Education Partnership- a charity working with schools in rural Uganda. All profits from this resource will be donated to the charity. Feedback welcomed.

The la-la song - A circle song for early years’ learners (0-5 year olds)

The la-la song - A circle song for early years’ learners (0-5 year olds)

At last! Musicbuds is here offering an exceptional range of original and well-crafted resources underpinning common musical objectives whilst focused on prominent EYFS themes. Aimed at all Early Years’ practitioners from class teachers, music specialists, teaching assistants, playgroup leaders to EAL and SEND support teachers. This song was originally written for a group of young children who were all second English language speakers, with varying degrees of language development. The 'la-la' part of the song was written so that everyone could join in. The kinaesthetic approach – ‘doing’ as you sing was an easy way to demonstrate language (whilst singing it). The musical inspiration for the music was the circular Greek songs often performed at weddings! Can be used as a stand-alone circle song/part of Circle time; a physical song to develop bilateral integration (using two hands/feet together in a coordinated manner e.g. clapping/stamping) or reciprocal movements (where first one hand or leg and then the other carries out the same movement in a rhythmical way) or as Song 6 in our 30-minute music and movement session. Each song includes: 1) A comprehensive lesson plan -highlighting EYFS and Music objectives covered -directions on classroom management -recommended list of props/visual aids -ideas for Extended learning  -inclusive planning for children with EAL/SEND profiles -different ways to deliver the material from Music/EYFS perspectives -formatted to allow easy cut-and-paste options into planning documents 2) Audio tracks - vocal & backing 3) Sheet music - for piano & guitar 4) Lyrics  -teachers’ lyrics with directions for classroom management  -children’s lyrics suitable for a Songbook
