This handout is an excellent resource for calculating the nutritional values of any dish. Pupils add the amount of nutritional values for each ingredient of the dish they are planning to make. This includes: Fat; Calories; Protein; Carbohydrates and Fibre. They then add these up to work out the total value per dish of their choice and the divide this by the amount of servings.
They can then add these amounts to create their own nutritional values label and a blank one is included in the sheet.
This is the original Word document so can be fully edited to which ever values you want to calculate.
This is a great mini-bundle of a range of activities designed specifically for D&T subjects (or Art) covering an entire project.
The package includes 10 resources:
An initial design sheet; 6R's activity; Best thing/change 1 thing activity (mini self-assessment); Self/peer assessment activity; Design diary blanks (continuous reflection); Evaluation headings and prompts; 1-5-1 (self assessment); 5-5-1 (self assessment); Group Assessment (based on ACCESS FM); Your Project (reflection/evaluation).
They are perfect to accompany your own projects but can also be great for cover lessons.
Many of these are original Word documents and can be fully edited to specifically suit your subject.
A useful resource for mini evaluations and areas of improvement. Pupils write a sentence about the best thing and one thing they would change. This is great to use just before they create their final designs but also at the end of projects.
Can be used as continuous assessment at different stages of the project or at the end.
This is to be used for a whole lesson where pupils write short sentences about their target market and design theme. Then they create 4 initial designs in the boxes.
Great for pupils who struggle fitting designs or their layouts of their workbook pages.
