Summer homework pack - Geography A-Level (AQA) (preparation for geography A-level)

Summer homework pack - Geography A-Level (AQA) (preparation for geography A-level)

This is a pre-made homework pack with 15 questions in total, covering every topic from A-Level geography. The tasks give short insights into the content covered at AS and A2 on the AQA specification, and are designed to teach students skills such as independent reading and research. The first page of the document gives a short introduction to the A-level Geography SOW, and students can then choose as many homework tasks as they like with a suggested minimum of 5. The tasks ask students to find definitions to some of the key terms covered under each sub-topic, and complete a series of further tasks, including reading articles, watching YouTube videos, or independent research tasks. This resource is designed for those moving from GCSE to AS level to help students settle into the new geography specification without overloading them with information! The tasks are designed to be quick but help students familiarise themselves with some of the key A-level themes. The booklet is designed to be editable, so you can change the first page to the sub-topics that you will be studying.

OUP Geog.2 Summer Homework

OUP Geog.2 Summer Homework

This is a booklet is based on the Michelin i-Spy books. Students get points for spotting things in and around their homes and beyond. It covers all the chapters from the geog.2 textbook from OUP, and is designed to be a homework project for students to complete during the summer holidays. For each item they find they get points and these points lead to house points, merits, credits, stars (whichever reward system your school uses): I even give students a certificate for completing it. There are 20 pages which can be printed as an A5 booklet or you can choose which pages you want to use as each chapter from the textbook has a set of activities: my version has 16 pages based on the chapters I covered and some extra puzzle pages as well. There is a word puzzle and a place for the students to keep a record of their points as they collect them, there is a place for parents to sign confirmation that students actually did achieve what they say just in case you get a student that makes it up. There are spaces for images, due to copyright I have removed the pictures that I use, but they can easily by added.
