4x easy to use reading comprehension packs with three sections of differentiated questions each. It can be used in form time as part of literacy focus, or in an English lesson for KS3/4 GCSE comprehension training. 1. Rise of the YouTube Vloggers - who are they and how did they make their millions? 2. Brexit - what's going on in 2018? Why are people getting annoyed? What does this mean for Britain? 3. Trump - what has he said now? What are the global implications of his presidency? What is this man's background and why is he still so popular with some? 4. Environmental issues - a very serious article about very scary problems students will face in their lifetimes unless serious action is taken. All of these articles are pretty interesting for students and teachers! All are useful, very easy to use and a good way to combine Current Affairs and English. Preparation for Working Life: Revision

This resource was created for a one-hour revision session I had with the entire year group that was sitting Preparation for Working Life that same afternoon. This syllabus still runs until June 2019 so there are a couple more opportunities to sit the examination. There are examples of questions from all the different sections of the paper here and the answers are provided for the shorter questions.

There are clear learning objectives and suggestions for activities and resources. The lessons are designed to last an hour but could easily be split up into shorter sessions as needed.
