Religious Education KS2 Y5 Y6 unit scheme Festivals Eid Hannuka Advent Diwali

Religious Education KS2 Y5 Y6 unit scheme Festivals Eid Hannuka Advent Diwali

This unit includes all you need to teach for around a term to KS2. There are lesson power points with back up activities, sheets, discussion points, resources, assessments etc. There is an assessment page and a scheme of work to go with the powerpoint too. I have also written a two hour Flip Learning Project which substitutes some of the lessons as additional extra. The PPT has 10 lessons and 52 slides with activities. You can pretty much walk into the room and teach from it, without further resources. Ideal if RS cover teacher or non-specialist too. I have developed a whole unit work from Year 5 up to Year 8 which I am now uploading. These have taken me hundreds of hours so I hope this saves you lots of time. Happy Sunday!

RE classroom display - Religions of the world bunting template

RE classroom display - Religions of the world bunting template

A template with 23 different bunting flags for all major world religions in appropriate colours. Good for brightening up any classroom and helping students to recognise religious symbols. You will need 2 copies of each flag and a length of string. Fix one flag around the string at the line on the template, then glue the other onto the back of it. My Year 7 class did mine for me in under 10 mins - one flag each! It makes a string of bunting long enough to stretch across an average classroom, or you can reuse flags to make a larger string of bunting.

This unit of work was created as a RE unit for a nurture group of year 7s and 8s, however all students were working at a KS2 year 3/4 level and so this unit would also be appropriate for secondary teachers. Some existing TES resources have been adapted here to help suit this low ability - bundle includes presentations and worksheets for 6 85 minute lessons. The lessons use a "universal symbols" code to aid SEN understanding - these symbols are explained in a separate ppt.
