Tarsia Game about "El colegio" in Spanish/English

Tarsia is a freeware for Maths. However, it can be used to create vocabulary games for MFL. This one is about making a shape with triangles that have words in each of the sides. They need to match the right word in order the complete the shape. It must be printed in an A4 single sheet and students must cut all the triangles, then stick the final shape in a page of their book. Solution attached too.

¿Cómo te sientes cuando ...? - Juego de cartas (Parejas)

This game is designed to talk about feelings and emotions and some situations that might trigger them. It is a game of matching cards. There are two sets of card, one orange (questions) and one blue (answers). INSTRUCTIONS: The ideal number of students is 5, but the game can be played by 2 to 20 students. Hand out the answer cards evenly to the students. Keep the question cards and put them in a pile face down. Take a card and read the question out loud. The students who has the answer card reads it out loud and keeps the pair. The winner is the one who pairs all the cards first. After the students have played the game a few times, you can designate one of them to read the questions.

This is a good way to make sure all the students are engaged during the reading. Open the document in Adobe Acrobat Reader and choose Full Screen Mode from the View menu. Scroll down to turn pages. Print the document in Booklet size on normal A4 paper. Fold the pages in the middle and staple them. If you do not have an interactive board in the classroom, it is a good idea to print the story in normal size to make a bigger copy that all the students can see and follow.

Spanish - The Weather / El Tiempo - Board Game - Speaking and Listening

This is a board game and powerpoint to teach and practise ‘the weather’ in Spanish. Pupils can play in groups of 2 -4. Simply print slide 4 for each group - this is the playing board. Laminate or print on to card for increased durability. Each group will also need a dice - a template in provided on slide 5 which can be printed, cut out and assembled. Players take it in turns to ask and answer questions about the weather in Spanish. This is a great way to practise speaking and listening skills as well as weather phrases. There are full instructions included, as well as help sheets for pupils, and ideas of how the game can be extended. The powerpoint also includes slides introduce each of the weather phrases - along with the board game, this could be the main part of a lesson.
