Well-being Journal for students and teachers

Well-being Journal for students and teachers

Make it your mission this year to take your life back with this well-being journal. Use for yourself or issue to your students to help them keep a journal of their life so they can reflect as well as set targets and track their progress to build positive habits. We’re all so busy and we give so much to other people that self-care often goes on the back burner. It’s crucial we take care of our well-being as it affects the way we feel and think, the way we cope with life’s challenges and how we can make the most of our potential. If we neglect to make an effort to take care of our well-being we can find ourselves stressed, jaded, unfulfilled or feeling trapped. After getting overwhelmed with life as a teacher, I started to set and track my progress in habits I wanted to create, as well as journaling. It has been essential in helping me form good habits and take care of my emotional state too. By recording my journey, I have been able to spot patterns in my mood over the course of a year and I’m now able to plan ahead, manage my life effectively and look after my well-being. With this journal, you and your students can have that same control and emotional freedom! Journal includes: 70 pages Every page is hand rendered in zentangle style for mindful colouring Monthly journal pages for brief journaling Weekly journal pages for brief journaling Daily journal pages, both with prompts and plain for more detailed journaling Prompts encourage you to focus on achievement, self-care and future thoughts Daily tracker with 4 point system to monitor and review well-being each day Monthly gratitude jar keepsake to record daily joys 12 different zentangle themes for each month to add variety 4 different types of trackers: mood, sleep, exercise and one for your own habits Benefits: It’s so easy to get caught up in day to day life that your well-being falls by the wayside but having somewhere to record your thoughts, feelings, memories and emotions puts these in the forefront of your mind ensuring you focus on them. Journaling has been proven to reduce physical disease symptoms and anxiety, enhance self-esteem and increase self-awareness. It can improve your self love and help you become really in tune with your own thoughts and emotions. Writing engages both the left and right side of the brain, enhancing problem solving capabilities. When you journal, you can go back and identify patterns to help you in the future as well as identify areas of personal growth to help you celebrate your successes. Overall, promotes well-being by allowing you to monitor your mental, physical and emotional wellness.

Growth Mindset Escape Rooms BUNDLE - 4 pack - positive affirmations

The Growth Mindset Escape Rooms 4 Pack BUNDLE will take students on 4 separate secret missions around the classroom! The escape rooms have students decode inspiring quotes from famous figures, past and present, about growth mindset. Sometimes students just need a day of motivation or positive affirmation! Maybe it’s before a big state test or maybe it’s after they have worked so hard and achieved the results you were hoping for. Maybe it’s just the right activity to do with them to encourage their journeys. I do one per quarter and they love them! The Growth Mindset Escape Rooms have students walking around the classroom breaking codes. Students are given a secret code name and sent on secret missions. The codes include ciphers, Morse code, cryptograms and a final 4 digit combination based on the decoders/clues. Each clue and code is different. The codes require students to think differently to decipher or decode them. Some codes are easier than others. Some codes require critical thinking to determine what a letter/symbol stands for. Each code will reveal an inspirational quote from a famous figure about growth mindset. The use of secret code will keep your students engaged while competing to find the final 4 digit combination. No props needed!! Students can report the final combination to you. If you wanted to, you could purchase a 4 digit lock that you program, but it is not necessary at all! The best age range for this resource is 8+. Please look at the preview to determine if this resource works for your age group. Younger students may need some help with some of the more difficult codes. You can use the pre-labeled clues or you can challenge older kids to choose/find the decoder that works for each of the clues. A set of labeled and non-labeled decoders are included. Mood Toolbox & Poster Bundle

Mood Toolbox & Poster Bundle

This program was developed by Natalie Clarke with the assistance from her friend, a behaviour specialist (40 years experience) to help Natalie’s son with ASD. The intervention assists Ben in understanding his own emotions and has empowered him to select strategies from the toolbox to use when needed. He has become more independent in his choices of how he regulates his emotions. Natalie has three degrees, including a Masters in Special Education and over 30 years experience teaching in Public, State and Autistic Schools. Over the years, Natalie has assisted many children in learning how to regulate their own emotions. Mood toolbox is a practical approach and can be used individually or in the whole class environment. It is especially helpful for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Social Emotional Disorder (SED). A fun character affectionately called Moodzie helps to encourage children to recognize their own moods. Each Moodzie has a color that represents different moods, such as red for anger, blue for sadness etc. Learning to navigate the emotional roads of children can be challenging, but for the impacted children, discerning and working through their own moods can be even more trying. Some children may not know how to communicate their feelings, but with the Mood Tool Box, their moods can be explored through Moodzie’s various adventure stories and other support materials.
