Maths Starters - Number Problems or Activities based on the '24' Game (Bundle of 38)

This is a PowerPoint version of 38 I did for the 24 game . For those who have not played the game is very simply, you have to make the number 24 using all the numbers given. It is a great activity for building mental maths skills as well as something the students love. It is a bit like an easier version of countdown.

… each question is star’d for difficulty and there are 5 questions per slide. Thus it is differentiated for different ability pupils and has a total of 170 different questions!

NO ANSWERS provided… as the students love to compete each time with the teacher … students enjoy this competitive element probably the most. The activity is particularly good for weaker groups who need to improve their number skills and primary age students looking to develop their basic arithmetic.
