Ancient Egypt Wordsearch Puzzle Sheet Keywords KS4 Settler Starter Cover Lesson History

Wordsearch Puzzle sheet on the theme of 'Ancient Egypt'. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as a worksheet. Includes space for students to explain the keywords and suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. The repetition of the word over and over as they look for the word is useful in remembering the terms. Often the students will pick up on things that you would not normally expect!

Found Treasures: Ancient Egypt ClipArt-50 Pieces!Restored Public Domain Images.

Found Treasures: Ancient Egypt ClipArt-50 Pieces!Restored Public Domain Images.

Found Treasures "Ancient Egypt" Clip-Art features a beautiful collection of restored, edited, and reformatted public domain images (now!) fit for classroom and product use! These incredible images are inspired by ancient peoples, and in some cases, by the ancients themselves! Enjoy a set of worry-free* selection of 50 images that have been through a variety of digital restoration and reformatting to make them perfect for projects and presentations! *No restrictions for United States sellers only. Status in other countries is unknown. Please check your country's public domain laws to see if they are similar to U.S. laws. Set Information: This set includes images that range from 1" to 8" in color, grayscale, and B/W. Due the nature of the images, most clip-art pieces are available in only one version. Images are drawn, painted, or photographs. Some images are taken from ancient sources, others from academic. All images are 300 dpi, png. Themes: This set showcases a variety of themes including but not limited to canopic jars, sarcophagus, vases, pharaoh, ancient writing, hieroglyphs, patterns, depictions of life and afterlife, animals, symbols, and more. See the preview for a more detailed view of the wonders contained in this set! Background: While viewing public domain images for references, I found myself in awe of the beauty, precision, and uniqueness of these spectacular images. It seemed to be a shame that many of these timeless images would go unseen when they had so much to offer students and teachers. While there were many fantastic pictures available, most needed a variety of edits and touch-up work to be suited for reuse. I decided it would be worthwhile to restore and share my "Found Treasures" in a format that would be better suited for projects on TPT.

Cleopatra Ancients Behaving Badly: Disc 2 Episode 4 WITH ANSWER KEY! : )

YouTube Video Link Provided as a Courtesy https://youtu.be/xM5_Q6oWFD8 Cleopatra Ancients Behaving Badly: Disc 4 Episode No one's flashing their goodies in this tongue-in-cheek History Channel series, which sheds light on the "bad" behavior of famed historical figures like Attila the Hun, Julius Caesar, Genghis Khan and Alexander the Great. With the aid of CGI animation, on-location reenactments and expert interviews, the series also explores the lives of Cleopatra, Caligula, Hannibal and Nero, and paints a portrait of their leadership styles. Egyptian Queen Cleopatra, known for her powers of seduction, stops at nothing to get her own way, including murdering members of her own family. This biography is great for World History courses. The video notes will allow students to follow along and remain engaged as they take in valuable content. This can also be given as a homework assignment where students can view biography on YouTube and turn in video notes the next day.
