Updated for 2011 spec. Print double sided Q & A on card, lines should align, trim carefully. Use different coloured card to keep card sets ordered. Cards are stacked in a deck questions facing up. Pupils play on snakes é ladder board in groups of 3/4 facing each other with a dice with sides labelled A to E.(or use the numbered dice 1=QA, 2=QB, etc, if they throw 6 throw again. First pupil tries to answer question, passes it to the group if he/she can’t. Card then goes to the bottom, next pupil throws. Most important the answer is read out so the whole group hear it
This is for a 100 minute lesson, but there are two tasks which could be split over two 50 min lessons.
The Timeline Poster is one activity and the Darwin text based activity is the second activity.
The text may be too textual for low ability or low reading age students, my low reading age group had an LSA and they were ACE!
