A great template. As my school has is adopting APP for readng I've decided to step away from the scheme we have in the spring term . I was starting to feel a bit panicky about how to plan for it but this has provided a great starting template. Thanks a lot from a VERY appreciative NQT :-)
I have adapted these record sheets from many other sources and have them more useful than most. I highlight the focus for the session and this is directly linked to AF above - in teacher speak not jargon. I hope you find them useful.

I have spent some time looking at the new curriculum, copied the reading comprehension objectives for KS1 and split them into four question categories:
1.Comprehension/Retrieval
2. Inference / Relate
3. Language for Effect
4. Themes, Structures and Conventions
(These go with the New Curriculum Rising Star Comprehension Books)

I have also attached questions and examples for the different categories (for both, comprehensions with pictures and texts).
The other document consists of some of my old files collated in one document, which shows examples of comprehensions, either with texts or pictures, of course differentiated.

This can be used for training purposes or for planning own comprehension lessons in year 1, 2 and possibly 3.

Codes next to WALTs as follow:
SEN - Special Needs
N - Nurture
C - Core
E - Extended
