This is an assessment sheet I put together as a starting point of assessing where children are who I have identified as needing an IEP. Looks at if children know their colours, numbers, letters sounds, key words, can write their name, can their sort and match objects.
A set of cards to make a visual timetable covering most things you do in school!!!!. These have been updated to include golden time, swimming, register clubs, tidy up time, trip, quiet reading and more as suggested. (Aug 07 - Thanks for all your comments - I may get around to making the adjustments suggested at some point - keep passing them on…. I can’t wait to walk into someone else’s classroom and see my cards!!)
A set of apples containing targets for literacy and numeracy for a Y2 class. These could be used on a tree display where the children have leaves with their name on which is placed by the target they are working on. When they complete the target they get a sticker on their leaf and choose a new target to work on. I plan to have one leaf per child and they alternate between a lit/num target. Print apples onto red paper and leaves onto green
A ROUGH GUIDE - not 100% accurate as it depends on the child, their understanding, comprehension, fluency etc but combined with teacher assessment seems to be helpful. Other topics covered: Assessment; Record/observation sheets
