In this webpage students investigate how many generations would link an evolutionist to a very distant ancestor? A very interesting cross curricular way of teaching approximations, estimations and numeracy. Ideal for students in key stage 3, 4 or extended and used at Post 16. Students can go away as a group, research the problem and come back with conjectures.

A very interesting cross curricular way of teaching approximations, estimations and number work. Ideal for pupils in key stage 3, 4 or 5 as it can be extended for the more able or kept simple. I like the fact that pupils can go away as a group, research the problem and come back with conjectures.
