What will you do when you grow up?

What will you do when you grow up?

Powerpoint with images of people in a variety of jobs. I have used this to help children develop an awareness of the range of jobs/careers available and with a literacy focus in conjunction with the Colin McNaughton poem ‘When I grow up”.

emergency services role play

emergency services role play

Question cards with photographs to go in an emergency services roleplay area. Also an incident form for emergent writing. I set this up as a role play area with phones on either side of a divider. The children would either take the role of the person who needs help, the operator or the ‘rescuer’. Great fun was had by all!

Peg and Draw Lables with Individual Pictures for 36 children up dated Aug 9th 2007

Peg and Draw Lables with Individual Pictures for 36 children up dated Aug 9th 2007

Here are some pegs and drawer lables that I made for my class last year. The pictures are animal cartoon like pictures and there is more than enough for a class of 30 plus new pictures for some extra children that might join throughout the year. There are also drawer labels to match so that children can recognise their peg and drawer whilst learning to recognise their name. Hope you enjoy

National Tree Week

National Tree Week

National Tree Week is a great chance for communities to do something positive for their local treescape. Each year, Tree Council member organisations such as voluntary bodies and local authorities, up to 200 schools and community groups, our 8,000 Tree Wardens and many others, support the initiative by setting up fun, worthwhile and accessible events, inspiring upward of a quarter of a million people to get their hands dirty and together plant around million trees.
