50 x Copyright-free Drama colouring sheets on the theme of ‘Drama’. Powerpoint so can be used on the board or printed as colouring sheets. Includes suggested extension activities. Can take 10 minutes or an hour, depending on which activities the students complete. Ideal for the start of a lesson, a quick filler, a homework, part of a cover lesson or as a plenary on the board with a whiteboard pen. The idea behind these is to get students to become more literate and think independently about the words that could be used to describe the topic being taught. Full Script of a play/musical of Oliver Twist

Full Script of a play/musical of Oliver Twist

This is a script that has been performed successfully by primary school aged children with adults, but can be performed by high school age and above. It’s 1 hour without an interval but has been written as two 30 minute Acts. Including the music adds about 10 minutes on each Act. The lines are suitable for children to learn (in our performance Oliver and Dodger were 8 years old) and has a suitable ending for a children’s production. The cover picture gives you an idea of costume and staging. I have had media consents to use this picture.

DRAMA STRATEGIES - 23 strategies for the non-specialist

DRAMA STRATEGIES - 23 strategies for the non-specialist

This is a pack of 23 drama strategies. Each strategy is fully explained and has examples for every relevant stage of the primary age range - I am a primary school teacher. However, these strategies are just as suitable in secondary schools, and they can ALL be used in a secondary setting. The strategy remains the same, it's just the topic or text that has to be changed for the older age groups. The strategies have been selected for the non-specialist to use, and focus on the development of speaking & listening. The pack is ideal for EAL children. There are two types of strategy: 1) Speaking is the end goal 2) The actual drama process relies on speaking & listening for its success Where required, resources are provided to accompany the strategies. There are several short script excerpts included.

Curriculum Car Journey

Curriculum Car Journey

I couldn’t find a blank car journey display to visually organise my curriculum anywhere! This is a very basic (but does the job) car journey created on Microsoft Word. It looks good on A3 paper and can easily be edited for any subject or topic. The two roads meet when placed next to each other.

Setting Learning Outcomes Guide

Setting Learning Outcomes Guide

This is a quick guide to setting meaningful 'learning' outcomes when lesson planning. I created this resource for the staff in my faculty after it was apparent that they were setting "doing" activities. When prompted by observers it was apparent that students knew what they were doing...but not what they were learning. *This resource is designed for performing arts however it can be quickly adapted to any subject area.
