Although I would generally advocate the synthetic phonics approach of blending a word through, there are times when teachers may feel the need to work on discrimination of initial phonemes. For those teachers using PiPs, here are a variety of silly sentences to use when playing Jingles.

CVC word bingo (words only - no pictures)

6 sets of bingo cards - 1 for each for medial a,e,i,o, and u, and also a set of mixed vowel CVC words. There are 6 cards in each set - enough for a group. If a whole class set is required, just change the colour of the text box so that each group has a different colour.
