Pupil Premium Promise: Life Experience programme (Improve attendance/behaviour/progress)

Pupil Premium Promise: Life Experience programme (Improve attendance/behaviour/progress)

Pupil Premium Promise - Development of the whole child (Life Experience programme) Limited life experiences of pupils from poor socio-economic backgrounds has a direct link with lower attainment. Research offers up the idea that when a young person is exposed to a new experience a cognitive connection is exercised in the brain thus making it more receptive and versatile to learning. If a young person is exposed to lots of experiences then their brains can adapt more. If a pupil receives limited experiences from a young age, then their brain is less likely to adapt to new learning as it has not got the so called ‘versatility’. The Pupil Premium promise does just that. It is a promise that should be made to the pupils that they will achieve before they leave your school. A bucket list of life experiences to develop mind, body and soul. By delivering the pupil premium promise it will have a positive impact on attendance, progress, attitude and behaviour. Happy pupils want to come into school! The resource is completely adaptable for your school.

Resources to accompany 'You're Safe With Me'

A selection of resources to accompany You’re Safe With Me’, by Chitra Soundar and illustrated by Poonam Mistry. Common Inspection Framework, British Values and You

Common Inspection Framework, British Values and You

Written by an Ofsted inspector and published by the Professional Association for Childcare and Early Years, Common Inspection Framework, British values and You explains how inspection procedures in childcare settings have changed with the introduction of Ofsted's Common Inspection Framework. The book covers how British values are now integral to the EYFS and also includes a free downloadable poster. The Common Inspection Framework makes judgements consistent across all Ofsted inspected settings, using the same terminology, enabling parents and carers to easily compare different childcare providers. Each inspection judgement is introduced alongside the criteria for achieving an Outstanding grading. The Prevent Duty, which became law in 2015, requires all childcare settings to actively promote British values. Our free downloadable poster shows how all elements of the EYFS are interlinked, with British values influencing all our work with children. No Santa or Rudolph, etc. All images are 300 dpi, png. Images vary from 1" to 8" but most can be adjusted for print and web. This set includes 50 images that range from 1" to 10" in color, grayscale, and B/W. Due the nature of the images, most clip-art pieces are available in only one version. Images are drawn, painted, or photographs. Some images are taken from ancient or vintage sources, others from academic. All images are 300 dpi, png. Background: While viewing public domain images for references, I found myself in awe of the beauty, precision, and uniqueness of these spectacular images. It seemed to be a shame that many of these timeless images would go unseen when they had so much to offer students, crafters, enthusiasts, and teachers. While there were many fantastic pictures available, most needed a variety of edits and touch-up work to be suited for reuse. I decided it would be worthwhile to restore and share my "Found Treasures" in a format that would be better suited for projects.
