Let us commemorate the soldiers who died in World Wars I and II and subsequent conflicts with this themed pack that includes sudoku puzzles, cut out borders and banners for wall displays. You can set writing or drawing activities with these themed lined papers and page borders. As a lesson starter, discuss with your pupils the origin of the Armistice Day, the significance of honouring soldiers, their important roles in the country and the most recognisable symbol ‘red poppy’.

I have combined a summer photos presentation, with a set of creative writing prompts and 31 fun teaching activities linked to these photo flashcards to try in the classroom. You could print off and laminate the photos to make an interesting, eye-catching set of story prompts. The students could also take five of the laminated photos and create them into a story . The photos could also be used as prompts for creative writing, factual writing or descriptive writing.
