SPANISH VOCABULARY (2) - GAMES & ACTIVITIES

SPANISH VOCABULARY (2) - GAMES & ACTIVITIES

99 ESSENTIAL WORDS AND PHRASES FOR BEGINNING SPANISH LEARNERS!This set of games and activities really do help students to develop and embed their beginning SPANISH vocabulary in a cooperative, communicative and interactive way. They’re ideal for independent learning, and perfect for pair and small-group work. Students can quiz/test themselves and each other on a regular basis - they're a very popular alternative to more traditional vocabulary 'drilling tasks', and really do help to create a lively language learning environment. This set features 99 BEGINNING WORDS AND PHRASES that students are likely to meet in the INTRODUCTORY stages of their SPANISH learning:- Los saludos (2)- Los colores- Las partes del cuerpo- Los números 21-40- El tiempo- Frases útiles para la clase (2)- Preguntas y respuestas (2)I've described the resource as suitable for ages 7-14, but it does depend on the age at which your students begin SPANISH - the games and activities work well with any appropriate learning group, depending on their starting point. There are two non-editable files in a zipped format - the other files you can see are preview images to give you an idea of what the resource looks like as a whole:FILE 1: SPANISH and ENGLISH game cards, with all the words and phrases to use in a variety of games and activities - I've suggested a range of games and activities that have worked well for me. This file also includes the game card template, which encourages your students to apply their developing knowledge of SPANISH practically and creatively.FILE 2 - this is an 18-page REFERENCE, RECALL & WRITE booklet, best photocopied double-sided, and double-stapled down the left-hand side. This format is very learner-friendly, and easily kept in a learning file or folder for regular reference. All the words and phrases are listed SPANISH-ENGLISH in language categories. There are 3 differentiated RECALL & WRITE activities to help your students really practise and review the vocabulary:CHILLOUT CHALLENGE: students write from memory all the words and phrases in ENGLISH from a SPANISH prompt - all the words/phrases are in their language categoryCHAMPION CHALLENGE: students write from memory all the words and phrases in SPANISH from an ENGLISH prompt - again, all the words and phrases are in their language categorySUPERCHARGED CHALLENGE: all the words and phrases appear in random order, and switch from SPANISH to ENGLISH at each question - this really does put students' memories to the test! Please read the Terms of Use carefully - this resource is copyright, and for single-classroom use only. ¡MUCHAS GRACIAS Y QUE OS DIVIRTÁIS!

SPANISH STARTER VOCABULARY (1) - CHRISTMAS EDITION - GAMES & ACTIVITIES

Have some CHRISTMAS FUN with this set of SPANISH STARTER VOCABULARY GAMES AND ACTIVITIES! It features 99 words and phrases to keep your students joyful as they practise and perfect their SPANISH vocabulary at CHRISTMAS!The games and activities help to create a lively language learning environment, where students can work happily together, with both teacher-led and independent learning activities.I've classed the resource as suitable for ages 7-14, but it really does depend on the age at which your students begin their SPANISH learning. They definitely take a bit of prep – printing and laminating. Laminating is certainly worth the effort and expense, as you will be able to re-use the cards for many CHRISTMAS lessons to come. They will also take up quite a bit of your colour printer ink – printing in black and white will work equally well, as students can easily identify the SPANISH and ENGLISH cards from the different fonts used for each language. The whole-group practice and quick quiz activity is simply ready to go! The SET 1 SANTAS feature vocabulary in the following word groups:- Los saludos- Los días de la semana- Los meses del año- Las cuatro estaciones del año- Los números 0 a 31- Los colores- Los países del mundoThe resource itself comprises 3 non-editable files in a zipped format:- game cards in both SPANISH and English - whole-group practice activity and quick quiz - whole-group practice activity and quick quiz that you can load on to a tablet or similar deviceso that students can work independently, and is perfect for your home school too I've included a selection of preview images to give you an idea of what the resource looks like as a whole. The SET 1 SANTAS and SET 2 SNOWMEN are also available as a combined mini-pack at the special CHRISTMAS price of £3.00 - you can see it here:https://www.tes.com/teaching-resource/spanish-starter-vocabulary-1-and-2-christmas-edition-games-and-activities-11166998Please read the Terms of Use carefully – this resource is copyright, and for single-classroom use only.¡MUCHAS GRACIAS Y FELIZ NAVIDAD!
