Season Scavenger Hunt This scavenger hunt introduces to students an information and fun facts about the Seasons and reasons for its change. There are 24 scavenger hunt cards with colorful pictures. It’s a great tool for students to review vocabulary on season. How to Use: Print the given all 24 cards on a card stock or any other good paper and cut them along the black line. Get the print of Seasons Scavenger Hunt questions pages and each student should be given this copy. Place Seasons Scavenger Hunt cards around the classroom. For example you can place it on chair, on table, on benches, behind the classroom doors, besides the computer or wherever you like. Students have to search the cards in a classroom in order to find out the answers of the questions. Students can complete this exercise in a group with classmate or alone. Includes basic information on each climate type as well as examples of countries with this climate and a map. Also includes 2 activities for children to complete. Activity 1: Children colour in a map following the key on the 5 different climates around the world. Then they cut out the 5 images at the bottom and stick them in the appropriate box for each climate. Activity 2: Children must read the items inside each suitcase and decide which countries climate they match. They then cut these out, stick them beside one another and write a sentence or 2 about them.

Creating a persuasive poster on the Caribbean Year 3

This is a resource where the children have to create a persuasive poster on the Caribbean. There are two photos of a Caribbean beach which the children can choose from. Then the children use the boxes provided to write their persuasive information on and cut out and stick on the poster. I encouraged the chn to use all of the features of persuasive posters e.g. alliteration, bossy verbs, slogans, rhetorical questions, facts etc. They loved this lesson. I also enlarged the sheets to A3. Will save lots of time!

All lessons for half a term were linked as much as possible to this topic.
